Blog Contributer Application

As part of our mission to raise awareness of the Canadian comedy scene on a national level, we are launching a blog site which will have contributers from all across Canada. Whether the flavor of comedy you perform is stand-up, sketch or improv, we'd love to have you share your experiences in your local community with people across the country!

If you fancy yourself a bit of a writer and this is something that appeals to you, well read on!

The Lowdown:

• Unfortunatley at this point this is a non-paying gig. This site not only doesn't make money, it looses money. However, once it is up and established there are plans to change that. Part of that plan is to have a sound, reputable blog that gets people coming back.
• You must have a profile on ComedyCA.com before you apply.
• The blog is in WordPress. It's pretty straight-forward if you haven't used it, and upon acceptance of your application, you will receive a PDF doc with some posting guidelines and tips.
• The purpose of the blog is to talk about what is going on in your local comedy community.
• The blog is NOT a soap-box. You can promote your stuff, but make sure you give other people equal time.
• This blog is COMMUNITY FRIENDLY. Meaning, if you don't have something nice to say... well, you get it.
• There is no prerequisite to have written for a blog before; just that you must have a genuine interest.
• You will be expected to post at least once a month.
